Excellent Read

This is completely different to any other book I have read but I couldn’t put it down. Amazing read and well written. Always love a book that teaches you another world at the same time.

A gentile read about the less fortunate

A story about life in the workhouse and British society. I'm not sure I have met as many characters as this book portrays but society back then was built on knowing your place. The reader had quite a few characters to portray and did an amiable job of most of the accents. A gentle read compared to some of the books I've read but none the less worth a listen.
