Would you consider the audio edition of El Principito (The Little Prince): English - Spanish Dual Language Edition to be better than the print version?

The Little Prince is a timeless French classical book that is usually included in those lists about books you must read before you. No matter you have read the written book, you cannot miss the bilingual audiobook version. It is a great tool when learning a new language. Apart from pausing and rewinding the story as many times as you want, you can also listen to it in both languages and compare and contrast the phrases.

What did you like best about this story?

In spite of being a short book, there is a variety of topics, so the listener acquires a diverse vocabulary. Moreover, there are many repetitions, which are very useful to retain what has been learnt.
It is a classic that is not out of fashion and is aimed at both children and adults. Due to being and audiobook, it can be enjoyed in family. The little ones will enjoy a funny and crazy fairy tale, while the adults, will discover a lot of metaphors and allegories used to deal with political, social issues, nature and life in general.

What does Shanna Stoker and Ximena Garcia bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

The two narrators speak at a good speed, clearly, and pausing when it is appropriate. When other characters appear, they modulate the voice and do a good performance exercise. As a result, the listening is dynamic and entertaining.

Great Little Book

El Prinipito or The Little Prince is a great little audiobook with a great story.I myself love spanish and its really great listening to it.I think it would be a good listening exercise for people taking spanish at university or just if you have a general interest in the language.The narrators are very well spoken and chapters are clearly defined.I also liked at the start when they told me where to contact them if needed.Overall very satisfied and would recommend.

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint- Exupery

What made the experience of listening to El Principito (The Little Prince): English - Spanish Dual Language Edition the most enjoyable?

The Little Prince is the perfect classic that it will help you to improve your English/ Spanish skills. It has been very easy for me to follow the story as the pronunciation is really clear and as it has the same chapter division is quite useful to listen to both so you will be able to compare them and catch some new words.
I have truly enjoyed this book, no matter how many times you have read it already, it will make you think and appreciate the little things once again. Strongly recommended.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character is definitely the fox which is the one who teaches us the value of love and friendship. The most famous frase from this book is his: " It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eyes".

What does Shanna Stoker and Ximena Garcia bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Both speakers and their voice acting makes you travel to the Little Prince's world.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Great way to improve your skills!

I have first read the Little Prince when I was a little girl and I’ve reached for it a few times afterwards. Seeing as I have been looking for some time for a good way to incorporate learning Spanish into my everyday life this audiobook works perfectly! As I already know the story it is easier to understand the Spanish version but whenever I have any doubts about expressions or specific words I can always skip to the English version and compare the two. It is a great way to learn new phrases and get comfortable with a foreign language.

My first AudioBook

I usually read books in paper version, this was my first experience with an audio book.I must say I was very impressed with the narrator and the tone her of voice which made my listening very smooth. The main reason of listening to El Principito – The Little Prince is that I always wanted to improve my Spanish and I have to say that this book has really teach me a lot of new words and phrases.

I was very impressed whith this book and I strongly recomand to everyone who want to listen to a warm, pleasant voice and want to improve they’r Spanish/English skills.

Great book for learners

I have greatly enjoyed El Principito - The Little Prince in audiobook format. The audiobook was easy to follow with the use of the provided PDF. The story itself is very interesting. I've been learning Spanish in school for 3 years and I was able to recognize some of the vocabularies while listening to it. But, more importantly, I've learned new tenses and new phrases. Moreover, my pronunciation of Spanish improves significantly by just reading along with the two narrators. I would definitely recommend this audiobook to learners of Spanish and my friends as it is a very good resource for them to improve their reading, listening and communication skills.

Nice beginners product

I work as a Spanish tutor at my University and often look for new material for my tutees. I really enjoyed this method as I could set listening exercises with the audiobook. My students loved it, specially because they are beginners and the voice used in the audiobook was very clear, no rush, nice pronunciation. It was so easy for them to get the words that I asked. Highly-recommended for beginners but If you want to go a step further then it is not for you.

Clever and fun way of learning Spanish!

Such a great audiobook and such a clever way of learning Spanish for all age ranges! I listen to this with my 3 year old son and he loves the story, thanks to the clear pronunciation of both the Spanish and English parts of this book I have no doubt that this is the best way of teaching him foreign language at such a young age. Also for someone like me who speaks basic Spanish I find it very useful for putting longer sentences together and brushing up on pronunciation of certain words. This really is a great product for both old and young, very smartly done.

A lovely learning book

This was a lovely book. It was nice to be able to follow the narrator in Spanish whilst they were reading in Spanish to get a feel for the visual representation (i.e. spelling and pronunciation) of the words. It was also nice that I could pause and read the English paragraph if I felt a little lost. I believe this method would be wonderful to teach young children a different language. Listening to the book and going over the English paragraphs help with establishing the semantics of the language as well. I will most certainly be re-listening to this book a few times as I know it will sharpen my Spanish nicely.
