Summary

Fifteen-year-old Therese watches her parents die. While in a coma, she meets the twin sons of Hades-Hypnos (the god of sleep) and Thanatos (the god of death). She thinks she's manipulating a dream, not kissing the god of death and totally rocking his world. Than makes a deal with Hades and goes as a mortal to the Upperworld to try and win Therese's heart, but not all the gods are happy. Some give her gifts. Others try to kill her.
The deal requires Therese to avenge the death of her parents. With the help of Than’s fierce and exotic sisters, the Furies, she finds herself in an arena face to face with the murderer, and only one will survive.

Wow

I wouldn't go as far as to call this a romance novel or a mythology read.... I'd go as far as to call it the dark romance of an under aged teen that was sexually frustrated, added into the mix of a half bad Percy Jackson copy.

I was excited to read a mythology fantasy and thought I could put the romance part aside cause romance isn't weird, this however was the most uncomfortable 'romance' I have ever seen, it was extremely one sided and controlling "yay look it's just like real life, except it's more like porn than real life."

Still if this author decides to do mythology minus the scary romance I do believe I would read it, cause the book was well informed I feel.... But the romance was a turn off.

A Great Read!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

yes, he Mythology characters in this are awesome!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Therese & Thanatos = Heroine & Hero of story

What does Debbie Andreen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Hearing this in audio ads emotion & meaning to the story that I couldn't do myself. I couldn't even pronounce 1/2 the names.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Therese lost her parents in the accident.

Any additional comments?

I loved this story! I loved how all the mythology characters came to life, even some I didn't know existed. This is a really great read! All the gods & goddesses were there, along with who they are & what the represent.
