Publisher's Summary

Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a strange package with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers several cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker, his classmate and crush, who committed suicide two weeks earlier. Hannah's voice explains that there are 13 reasons she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he'll find out why. Clay spends the night crisscrossing his town with Hannah as his guide. He becomes a first-hand witness to Hannah's pain, and learns the truth about himself - a truth he never wanted to face.

Excellent Book

This audiobook is an excellent story of detailing how quickly hope can run out for someone on the edge due to societies blindness to the peril, and at the same time it tells a doomed love story that both characters wanted but could never grasp. This work by Jay Asher is truly an excellent choice and whilst filled with the chiling feeling of listening to someones downfall it fills the reader with a sense of hope that things can get better even after despair. This book is certainly an good choice!

Gripping

I sort of wanted to dislike this book; to discard it as crappy teen fiction. However, I can't do that. In fact, I listened to the whole audiobook in one day. I couldn't stop listening.
