Many people get into relationships with narcissists. There is little warning that their lives will forever be changed by the narcissists. They never stop to realize the gravity of having been in the lives of narcissists. Some people will suffer long term in the form of Cassandra syndrome, trauma bonding, and complex PTSD. Others will suffer through their children's ill-mannered behavior due to parental alienation syndrome or through the loss of relationships with their children due to the narcissists.

Many of these people are experiencing delusions, psychotic episodes, hallucinations, cognitive deficits, attention deficits and memory deficits. They may have low IQ, head injury trauma or other disabilities that they have never exposed to us. You may be a very trusting person. You think that another person will be candid with you about the child abuse they experienced.

Many narcissists go through life on autopilot. They spew words of disdain and dissatisfaction everywhere they go. This spewing is often a recording of whatever the negativistic adults around him said when the narcissist was a child. He memorized racial attacks, bullying from the adults to subordinates, movie quotes where one person was bullying another, and offensive language that others used around him.

You enter into a relationship, thinking that everything will be wonderful. There will be romance, intimacy, reciprocity, and love. There will be partnership, generosity, emotional support and communication. Then...wham! You find yourself the victim of mind control, gaslighting, abuse, circular conversations, compartmentalization, triangulation, and more.

Most people have come into contact with a deadly and deceptive narcissist at some point during their life. You might not have recognized that the person was a narcissist. But you might have recognized his meanness, inflexibility, tough exterior, Machiavellian ways, chronically unhappy demeanor, death stare, and his envy of you. The narcissist wants what you have. He wants it when he wants it. If he doesn't get it, he will throw a monstrous tantrum that will shatter your life. You don't think that the narcissist is as dangerous as he truly is. The truth is, you may truly never recover.
