Hiding from his sect and banned from the magical societies, he follows a trail of missing children to NYC. Now, together with Simon, they must prevent more abductions and stop those responsible for the disappearances.

An emissary from the Dark Council has just materialized in the office of the Montague & Strong Detective Agency, and makes Simon Strong an offer he can't refuse. Charon is missing. The legendary ferryman responsible for transporting sorcerer souls across the river Styx hasn't been seen in days. And with each passing hour, those unable to cross the river are left to walk among the living, tilting the world further out of balance. Meet Simon Strong, an immortal, who is also the best private detective in New York City. Together with his surly partner Tristan Montague they must find the Ferryman.

Broken bodies and bloody messages are appearing in the darkest corners of New York City. Infected werewolves are roaming the streets attacking innocents. The Dark Council demands answers. They summon Simon and Tristan to investigate. The evidence points to the work of a powerful mage, unfortunately, there is only one mage in the city powerful enough to cause this kind of infection - Tristan Montague. Now, Simon and Tristan must locate the source of the magical infection before the Dark Council declares Tristan a dark mage, destroys the werewolves, and shatters the fragile peace.

When Tristan Montague, Simon’s partner and resident cranky mage, advises Simon against this course of action, Simon declares his freedom to see whomever he chooses. There’s only one problem. Michiko Nakatomi has led the Dark Council for over a century, maintaining the uneasy truce between humanity and the supernatural. But when an ancient enemy returns, the delicate balance is shattered, and vampires start dying. Now, Michiko must fight for her life and the survival of the council. She has no one to trust. Her inner circle is destroyed, the council is on the verge of collapse, and her only hope lies with Simon and Tristan.

Montague and Strong have left the building. In fact, they’ve left the continent. When a teleportation circle sends them to London, The Penumbra Consortium - and older, darker version of the Dark Council - requests Montague an Strong look into the murder of the leading demonologist Mage Nigel Warrenton.

Now the Montague & Strong Detective Agency must face and eliminate the threat. There’s only one problem. William Montague, Tristan’s lost brother, is leading the mages. 

Hell hath no fury like an angry god of the underworld. Persephone is missing. When Hades fails to locate his wife, he takes drastic measures. He hires the Montague & Strong Detective Agency to locate her, bring her back to him, and most importantly, find out who dared to kidnap his wife. Now, Monty and Strong must uncover a plot to overthrow Hades and steal the underworld, return Persephone to her husband unharmed, and prevent a god from unleashing his wrath and starting a celestial battle royale. It’s not the end of the world, but it’s going to be close.

The Dark Council threatens everything Simon holds dear. They want to erase Monty, kill Peaches, and remove Simon's immortality - permanently. When Ken, Michiko's brother asks the Montague & Strong Detective Agency to find her, they must act - before the Dark Council implodes in violence. Now, Monty and Simon must travel to Japan, find Michiko, and stop the Blood Hunters before they eliminate an ancient vampire, without becoming the next target! Will they find Michiko in time? When the NYTF reports that a golem, a large rock creature, is terrorizing parts of the city and destroying hubs of power, Ezra calls on Montague & Strong to investigate and stop the creature. Their first reaction is to refuse. Except there’s one problem. No one refuses Ezra, a personification of death, without grave consequences. Now, Monty and Simon, together with Ursula of the Damned, must uncover how the golem was created and who would use it to destroy hubs of power, without being crushed in the process.

When Fate pays Simon a visit accusing him of disrupting causality, she makes him an offer he can’t refuse - become mortal or die. There’s only one small problem. In order to become mortal, Simon must find the goddess, Kali the Destroyer, and convince her to remove her curse. To complicate matters further, Haven and Roxanne are under attack by an ancient spell - an entropic sphere designed to kill everyone inside the facility.

Would you kill to save a life? In order to save those closest to him, Tristan has stepped closer to darkness. In order to save Tristan, Simon must do the impossible. When Monty uses blood magic, he enters a schism - which puts him, and everyone close to him, in mortal danger. His use of blood magic has alerted the Black Orchid, a mage sect tasked with apprehending and eliminating dark mages. Now, Simon, with help from Monty’s closest allies and family, must find a way to stop him from going over to the darkness.

When Ramirez receives a call from Shadow Company, he uncovers secrets from Simon’s covert operative days and an instruction: contact Simon. An agent Simon thought dead, has resurfaced, looking for vengeance and his help. Now, together with Monty, Simon must stop this agent from exacting revenge before it’s too late and countless lives are lost.

Monty and Simon don’t know, but they better find out, and fast....The NYTF Command Hub has been destroyed, the Director is in critical condition, and a cryptic message has been left for the Montague and Strong Detective Agency - in blood....When Monty and Simon discover Mahnes, a Soul Renderer and Dark Mage, is behind the attack, they realize they are outclassed, and outgunned. Something or someone is controlling Mahnes, and they need help. Now, Monty and Simon must face an ancient god, one they thought they had defeated, and banished. They were wrong.

With Mahnes defeated, Monty and Simon must now face the entity behind the attacks. They must face one of the old gods…Chaos.There’s only one slight problem—they aren’t strong enough.

Monty and Simon survived the Stormblood, but not without grave consequences. Whatever method York used to complete the ritual opened a door to something ancient, dark, and evil. A Revenant. Now, that Revenant is hunting them. It needs their life force to be completely free. There’s only one way to get it. Eliminate them both.
